Innovation and Start-up Policy
HBIC is an initiative by HCAS to form a viable entrepreneurial linkage by involving Entrepreneurs, Startups, Students and Technology experts.We recognize interesting and potential entrepreneur and nurture innovative startup ideas for transformation into successful business entities. Business Incubation Centre was instituted on 16/11/22 which is completely supported by our Management to abide technical startups by the passionate entrepreneurs. The thrust areas in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Computer science, media science, humanities and business studies are identified by the faculty members and mentoring the interested students to become an entrepreneurs.

National innovation and start-up policy (NISP)
Hindustan College of Arts & Science has joined the movement on implementing National innovation and start-up policy (NISP) under the guidance of the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC) and adopted the policy framed by MIC. The policy aims at promoting innovation and start-up culture among the students and faculty of Higher education institutes. A copy of the NISP document is given below;

Innovation Voucher Program
Startup India provides financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market-entry, and commercialization. Eligible startups can apply for the scheme on the Startup India portal. Now Sathyabama Technology Business Incubator also facilitating the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme.
The knowledge of operating a campus company has enriched the skills to become their own boss. Today this HBIC supports 4 businesses operated by entrepreneurs from the current students as well as an alumnus of HCAS.
